  some people had a penchant for posting their topics directly into the "best of topics" area.

  it seemed more than a little arrogant to me that some imagined their every utterance was immediately a greatest hit but maybe people weren't clear on what that area was intended for .... from now on you won't be able to start new topics there.

  if anyone wants to submit a topic to be added there (perhaps an index to a curated list of other topics by a user or on a certain subject / theme) then just start one in "suggestions" and pm me and, if it is suitable, then i'll move it into there.. existing topics posted there recently have been moved to more appropriate areas..

  Frankly, Jim, I think far, far too many newer ones here are naive beyond what is useful -- AND I'M NOT ALONE IN THAT OPINION.

  I may not know S&L, but I KNOW THE TYPE.

  I'll bet that in fourteen more years, after you've seen a few more of these mini-dramas unfold before your eyes, you too will join the "Nutass" crowd who refuse to let sad sob-stories and simpleton emotions sway them.

  If I was consistently wrong in these matters, why would Simon tolerate my continued presence for 15 years? The only ones who downplay the significance of longevity are those who DO NOT HAVE IT AND LIKELY NEVER WILL.

  I am one of a handful of SHEEPDOGS on this board who feel a duty to protect you unsuspecting SHEEPLE from WOLVES. It may be true that some SHEEPLE are frightened by the growl of the SHEEPDOGS, but we growl for your BENEFIT. Perhaps someday you will appreciate this.

  For a guy who is an ALLEGEDLY desperate situation, scared and lonely, you seem to have no trouble falling back on your high and mighty Elder's attitude. Is this a reflex over which you have no control?

  Like others here, I suspect you are a TROLL - a façade constructed by someone who has been here longer than you claim to be, with a tear-jerking sob-story that you built for your own amusement so you can stroke your ego about what fools these apostates be.

  You will find apostate fools here, indeed, who will wring their hands and rend their outer garments in torment over the story you've constructed. Enjoy their company. You will probably find that when it comes down to the bottom line, your hand-wringing "friends" will suddenly find themselves "a bit short of cash" on a permanent basis.

  You're unaccustomed to being talked back to, aren't you, Elder-Boy? You are one of the Watchtower's " great and shining ones," aren't you, Brother Failure? Fall on your knees and ask for Jehovah's Magic Spirit, you phony!

  By what right did you provide counsel to anyone, you man-child?

  I have doubts... can you help me??- A new idea

  i have been perplexed as to how to brung my wife out of jws and to exit the religion... but i had an idea last night.

  i know that elders will legitimantly meet with brothers who have doubts and encourage them... not df them .. this is a sheperding call etc.. thus since my wife knows i have doubt s i could say: i want to have two brother over to discuss this ... she will agree.... of course i will hit these guys with biblical textual issues, an biology to where they are stunned and still ask... "so brothers... can you solve this conflict...?".

  in this case they will not think of me as an apostate but may question their own beliefs... .

  Dreams are 100% accurate predictors of things that will happen 500 years after your death and are therefore extremely relevant in your day-to-day life.

  Write them down.

  This will keep paper mills gainfully employed.

  Today's paper has an expected lifetime of 300 years, so everything will work out JUST FINE.

  ok so a car pulls up to the house and 3 eldurrs from my dads congo come up.

  they come in and have thee nerve to ask me to step out so they can speak to pops!!!!

  this is the good part.....pops says...and i quote " whatever needs to be said..can be said in front of my son".

  If they show up in the future you may want to remind them that you need a minimum of two witnesses to any evid deeds they might perpetrate.

  They want to meet without witnesses present so they can deny what they've done.

  1950 Watchtower Bound Volume now Complete!

  the 1950 september 15th watchtower is now complete and this will finish the 1950 watchtower bound volume.

  a big thank you to jaydee for all of his hard work of scanning the watchtowers into jpg files which i received and converted into pdf files and made them searchable.

  jaydee worked day and night to get these files finished for us and i really appreciate his kindness... we only had to darken out one name on one shipping label.

  One small suggestion: instead of redacting shipping labels with black, while the files are still jpgs, use Paint to "white out" the forbidden information. Or... create a bogus shipping label to cut-n-paste over real labels.
